Senate Report: CIA Lied About Torture

CIA Misled on Interrogation Program, Senate Report Says from the Washington Post
"A report by the Senate Intelligence Committee concludes that the CIA misled the government and the public about aspects of its brutal interrogation program for years — concealing details about the severity of its methods, overstating the significance of plots and prisoners, and taking credit for critical pieces of intelligence that detainees had in fact surrendered before they were subjected to harsh techniques."
Shocked!  I'm shocked!  And what will be the consequences for this coverup, this abrogation of public trust, this set of decisions that cost (and continues to cost) the US's reputation around the world?!  Wait for it.  Americans will be subjected to a weekend's worth of Bush administration die-hards singing another chorus of "It Wasn't Torture," "The Torture Was Essential for National Security," and "The Senate Report is Biased", blah, blah, blah.
