A scruffy, shoe-leather reporter, Bob Novak was a must-read in Washington. And he was my friend.
I hate to say it, but I also really liked Novak, the reporter. His newsletters were always full of interesting items no one else had.

I will have a hard time forgetting the treasonist behavior Novak took part in by outing CIA agent Plamne.
I give you that. Almost against my will, I became a regular reader of Novak's Evans & Novak Letter. Why? Because he routinely had what used to be called "scoops". He was a good reporter -- even if he was usually an outrageous, right-wing tool!
