This entire article has nuggets that, in my view, show more signs of how the conservative infrastructure that has given us the last twenty years of right-wing nuttery is in decline. It has been an open secret for years how right-wing book clubs and advocacy groups bought up the vast majority of these book-sized dog-poops, turning them into "bast-sellers" and turning the authors into six- and seven-figure-a-year pundits and worthless, trash-talking sh$%-heels. The biggest surprise here is how BADLY the books authored by potential GOP presidential candidates have done!! Holy Cow! My scholarly monographs have done better than some of these books! In the worst cases, you had authors (Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio) who had BIG six-figure advances that sold 10,000 copies or less. It looks like this segment of the book market is GOING DOWN!
